One World Trade Center
1:4000 scale miniature paper model
Originally known as the Freedom Tower, this 86-story supertall skyscraper and its antenna reach the symbolic height of 1,776 feet. Daniel Liebeskind won the architecture competition to rebuild the World Trade Center site but the final design was by David Childs. A windowless reinforced concrete podium with the same square footprint as the original twin towers supports the tapered glass tower.
